I’m going to Wonderland

I am pleased to share, I’ve been invited to exhibit three works at Wonderland International Juried Exhibition. The show is an interpretive, experiential art show that will explore wonder, fascination and illusion, curated by juror Allison Glenn, the senior curator at New York’s Public Art Fund.

  • Opening Reception: Thursday, September 15, 5:00-7:00 pm
  • Exhibition Dates: September 15 – October 20, 2022
  • Location: Trolley Barn Gallery; 489 Main St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

Inspired By…

I have always been a fan of Richard Serra. I a inspired by the thoughtfulness and austerity of his, “Four Rounds: Equal Weight, Unequal Measure” which is newly installed at the Glenstone Museum, Potomac MD.

At the Glenstone Museum, Richard Serra’s “Four Rounds: Equal Weight, Unequal Measure,” a sculptural installation of four patinated, forged-steel cylinders, is displayed in a dedicated pavilion. (Richard Serra/Artists Rights Society, New York/Glenstone Museum)

Camouflage Pink

One hundred feet of rope, impeccably wrapped, woven, tied and embellished with beaded garland, ribbon, and silk flower bobbles lure you into a hue-imbued, installation symbolizing natural hair. This bold whimsical sculpture gingerly invites the audience into off the-wall conversations about implicit bias and black women’s hair..
