Now that I am resident of the Virgin Islands, traveling to the mainland during the winter is not a thing for me anymore. My work however will make the journey to Metamorphosis: Recycled, Repurposed, Reimagined opening this week at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center in MD.

Beaded Braids- Double Dutch is a joyful throwback to when I wore my hair in braids ladened down with pony beads and jumped double dutch rope with my cousins in Queens NY.

I’ve been stringing bottle cap pearls on cider six packs with polyurethane twine since last year but finally got around to making the hanging structures to this summer.
