Conceptual Materials Social Practice Artist
I have been working on this series exploring the women I admired as a tween/teen for the past year. Im so excited it is finally ready for you to enjoy it too.

I’m never doing nothing. Even on vacation, I like to capture the moment with a quick sketch or watercolor story. Long after, I’ve returned to real life, when I review these works, i’m still whisked away to the beach.

I can’t believe its done. All I need to do is find a wall big enough to hang it and photograph it.
Wonder Women is a riot of pony beads, buttons, bottle caps, crystals, mirrors, flowers, embroidery, and bling measuring a 10’x8’.
Over the course of four weekends, Garden Level hosted four Sewing Circles. More than twenty people headed the call. Each influencing the work in their own way.
A nine-year-old girl walked in off the street with her mom and learned to sew her very first button. Even, two men joined the fun and documented their work.
A massive thank you to everyone one who stepped in to sew and offer their helpful suggestions. Shout outs too…

The tapestry will show at Visual Arts Center in Summit NJ this Fall. I hope everyone who helped make this piece come together will make it to the opening. Details to come.
I printed my Woman Woman Selfie onto heavy fabric for a 10’x8′ tapestry.
Im on deadline for a show and need help sewing bottle caps, buttons and beads onto the fabric for the hair. I need help sewing on bling.
I’ll be at Garden Level Gallery from 11:00am-4:00pm Sunday 7/29. Come for 30mins or come for the duration. Bring a friend or just yourself.

Side Eye will be displayed on banners installed prominently in Montclair’s business and arts districts this Fall.
