Conjured beneath the luminous gaze of the Strawberry Moon, the Rootstick Tide Wands are sacred tools of rebirth, renewal, and release. Each wand carries the alchemy of transformation, where what has been cast off becomes a conduit for spirit.
I gather materials born of land, sea and home: driftwood and discarded spatulas, feathers, bones, selenite, cowrie shells, coral, and moonlight itself. I wrap and weave with yarn, adorn with rhinestones, buttons, beads, and crosses, allowing each object to speak in its own dialect of memory. These are not decorative wands; they are ritual instruments, shaped by intuition, loss, and longing.
Inspired by diasporic folklore, the wands echo ancestral practices of conjure and craft, where everyday remnants are imbued with meaning. Born during a moon that once signaled the harvest of wild strawberries, they serve as talismans for gathering what’s ripe in us, and letting go of what no longer serves.
Each wand is a gesture toward healing. A channel. A tether. A release.
