Im Obsessed with Lino Prints

I’ve got a problem. A new obsession since taking a wood cut workshop at Guttenberg Arts  this Winter, cutting linoleum for lino-prints.

I’ve carved a Picasso inspired self portrait, Left and right Converse for this series of cards.

These are not just any cards… they are black Converse, white laces Jedi R2D2 cards …

Today I glued down stars punched from recycled envelopes. I’m finishing these up with Yoda and R2D2 stamping.

Check my Insta Story on MissTheda this Friday evening when Im back from Nashville for the next episode of the black Converse, white laces Jedi R2D2 experience.

See my Pinterest Inspirations

When asked, what inspires me? The first word that comes to mind is beauty.

I see beauty everywhere; in a shimmering oil slick floating in a street puddle, the shape of clouds, a killer nail design, street fashion and even retail product packaging neatly lined on shelves. I know this probably is weird, but whatevs.

I choose to see beauty in everything, especially the garbage, I recycle into art supplies.

Take a look at my Pinterest boards for a glimpse of my inspirations.

Spring has Sprung. Time to see Art

Yeah, it has finally stopped snowing and the flowers have popped out. I’ll be living on Zyrtec, a scratchy throat and watery eyes for the next month but, i’m not really complaining. Nice weather means, long walks and serendipitous art supply finds and a host of art happenings in NY and NJ. I hope to see you at one of my shows soon.

I’lll be in LA for work, but its your last chance to see “Song Sung Blue” at

Psykhe
Size: 20 x 20 in
Medium: Fine Art Print
Psyche was the goddess of the soul and the wife of Eros god of love.
She was once a mortal princess whose beauty earned the ire of Aphrodite when men began turning their worship away from the goddess towards the girl. Aphrodite commanded Eros make Psykhe fall in love with the most hideous of men but the god instead fell in love and carried her off to a hidden palace. Eros hid his true identity and told Psykhe she must never gaze upon his face. Her jealous sisters, however, tricked her into disobeying and the angry god forsook her. Psykhe searched the world for her lost love and eventually came into the service of Aphrodite. The goddess commanded her perform a series of seemingly impossible tasks which culminated in a journey to the Underworld. Psykhe was afterwards reunited with Eros and the couple were married in a ceremony attended by all the gods.

Art Life Winning

I have had a see saw week. My dad has being ill and in the hospital with a blood infection. He’s now on the mend. On the other hand, It has been a great week in my art life.

Im planning an art party as part of my family reunion in Barbados this fall. This is one of the locations we are considering for my pop up art show . What do you think?

Its nice to have generous friends like, Matt Galle and Drew Kaklamanos. They introduced me to DB Burkeman, the curator of Paradigm Talent Agency. He has offered to give me a tour of their amazing space.  Here, take a peek.  I will Insta Story my visit so you can join me on the tour too. I’d love to see my art on the walls there.

I also had a studio visit with Mary Birmingham, curator of Visual Arts Center of New Jersey. She is doing a show in September 2018 with Kevin Sampson and a photographer of Outsider Art installations. She invited me to participate. There is a stairwell vestibule for me to transform with my very own installation. Ideas are already percolating.
