Sailing Wood Block Prints: Port Hole

If you are friends with McCarty you may be a lucky recipient of one of 24 Wood Block Prints of a sail boat viewed through a port hole, that i made for his holiday gifts.

The Port Hole series is inspired by our Caribbean sailing adventures.

I used Purple Speedball block print ink, Distress Stain, Gelatos, Watercolors, Acrylic paint on Hamilco white card stock. Each 7″x5″ print is unique.

Here are a few shots while in process…

Sneak Peak At New Small Works

Late Summer I started working on an edition of linocut mixed media self portrait collaged prints on paper. I used the fine print from my Tysabri infusion and boarding passes from my travels this year to mark the passage of time.

All works are 7″x5″ in a 10″x8″ mat ready to be framed.  These works are priced to move on my Shopify store at $75 each. A steal for an original piece of art, if you ask me. So if you have been meaning to get little something for yourself click here.

Hamilco white card stock, Speedball block printing ink, Golden fluid acrylic, Sharpie, paper boarding passes, Mulberry paper, construction paper flower, glitter glue, glitter and sparkle.

Side Eye Banners in Montclair

The Limited Edition, 3/5 aluminum print will be displayed in one of SMI’s gallery spaces during the fall of 2018 (more info to come). DM me if you are interested in this piece. There are two left in this edition.

A huge thank you to juror, Nette Forne Thomas for selecting my work. I am humbled.

Im Obsessed with Lino Prints

I’ve got a problem. A new obsession since taking a wood cut workshop at Guttenberg Arts  this Winter, cutting linoleum for lino-prints.

I’ve carved a Picasso inspired self portrait, Left and right Converse for this series of cards.

These are not just any cards… they are black Converse, white laces Jedi R2D2 cards …

Today I glued down stars punched from recycled envelopes. I’m finishing these up with Yoda and R2D2 stamping.

Check my Insta Story on MissTheda this Friday evening when Im back from Nashville for the next episode of the black Converse, white laces Jedi R2D2 experience.
